When I am shopping or putting together an outfit I often think 'what would Coco do?!' Coco Chanel was known for her pioneering style, effortless chic and mantra that before leaving the house one should always take off the last thing put on. Chanel style is classic chic - it's not any one look (although she tended to stick to monochrone and minimalists silhouettes) but a state of mind.
...I think she would have hated some of today's fashions...I can imagine her saying harem pants- 'non', colour blocking 'non'....uncomfortable body con dresses 'non'! Non non non! At least that's the way my internal monologue goes when I'm shopping!
